John Maurer

District 4 VEA members have elected John Maurer as their new Director.

John is a 33 year resident of Fish Lake Valley and has farmed for 20 years. He and his wife own and lease 1,000 acres. Electricity is the single biggest expense in their operation and it is vital. John has a strong working knowledge of electricity and components that utilize electricity such as pump motors, panels and pivots. He also has in-depth knowledge of VEA's District 4 power grid and circuitry, particularly circuits 3 and 4.

"I was encouraged to put forth my candidacy. I feel it is crucial for the agricultural community to have a representative on the board who is working in the agri-business sector. I am filling some big shoes with Bob Hartman retiring but I am ready for the challenge," said John.
