General Service - Schedule GS - Less than 50kW

 

Availability:

Available for non-residential members of the Association located within the area served by the Association.

Applicability:

This rate shall apply to general service, single phase where metered demand is less than 50 kW. Service under this schedule is limited to consumers whose load requirements can be met by transformers having a capacity not to exceed 50 kVA. Consumers requiring more than 50 kVA will be served under an appropriate schedule for increased power service. This rate is applicable to service where measured demand is less than 50 kW a minimum of 10 months out of a rolling 12 month period.

Character of Service:

Single phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.

Determination of Demand:

When applicable, the metered demand for any month shall be the highest average during any 15 consecutive minute period of the month of the load metered in kW. The measured demand for any month shall be the highest average during any 15 consecutive minute period of the month.

Determination of Monthly Charges:

The demand history of the account is the highest demand indicated or recorded by a demand meter.

If the consumer does not have three (3) previous months of use which has been indicated or recorded by a demand meter, the initial and succeeding months shall be used by the Association to determine demand until three (3) months of use has been established.

In the event the demand history is less than 50 kw the following shall apply:

  Monthly Basic Service Charge $ 30.00
  Demand charge -0-
  Energy charge $ 0.10731 per kWh
  A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

 

Minimum Monthly Charge:

The minimum monthly charge to the consumer under this rate shall be the higher of the following charges:

  1. $30.00; or
  2. The minimum monthly charge as specified in the contract for service, if applicable.

Temporary Service:

Temporary service to consumers at locations such as construction sites, fairs or carnivals shall be supplied in accordance with the rate schedule, except that the consumer shall pay in addition thereto the total cost of connecting and disconnecting service, less the aggregate value of materials returned to stock. A deposit may be required for the total amount of the estimated bill for services, including but not limited to the costs of connection and disconnection.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the non-residential consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Taxes, Fees, Etc.

Any tax, franchise fee, or other similar charge, however denominated, will be recovered by a surcharge only upon those consumers receiving service within the boundaries of the district and/or municipality imposing such tax or fee.

General Service - Small Commercial - Schedule SC - 50-249kW

 

Availability:

Available for commercial members using either single phase or three phase service who are located within the area served by the Association, subject to the rules and regulations of the Association.

Applicability:

This rate shall apply to general service, single phase and three phase service where metered demand is 50 kW or greater but less than 250 kW for a minimum of 3 months out of a rolling 12 month period.

Character of Service:

Single and three phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.
Three phase, 60 hertz, at primary distribution voltage.

Service at Primary Voltage:

If service is furnished at primary distribution voltage, a discount of 2% shall apply to the demand and energy charges. All wiring, pole lines, and other electrical equipment beyond the metering point will be considered the distribution system of the consumer and will be furnished and maintained by the consumer, provided, however, the service may be metered at secondary voltage and adjusted to primary metering by adding the estimated transformer losses to the metered kilowatt hours and kilowatt demand.

Determination of Demand:

The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the consumer during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor, as more particularly provided herein.

Determination of Monthly Charges:

A monthly charge will be made and billed to the consumer based on the demand history of the account.
The demand history of the account is the highest demand indicated or recorded by a demand meter.
If the consumer does not have three (3) previous months of recorded use, which has been indicated or recorded by a demand meter, the initial and succeeding months shall be used by the Association to determine demand until three (3) months of use has been established.

In the event the demand history is within 50 kW - 249 kW the following shall apply:

  Monthly Basic Service Charge $ 30.00
  Demand charge $ 2.00 per kW
  Energy charge $ 0.09214 per kWh
  A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

The minimum monthly charge to the consumer under this rate shall be the higher of the following:

  1. $30.00; or
  2. A charge of $1.25 per kVA of transformer capacity; or
  3. The minimum monthly charge as specified in the contract for service, if applicable.

General Service - Large Commercial - Schedule LC - Greater than 250kW

 

Availability:

Available for commercial members using either single phase or three phase service who are located within the area served by the Association, subject to the rules and regulations of the Association.

Applicability:

Applicable to service where measured demand is equal to or greater than 250 kW for a minimum of 3 months out of a rolling 12 month period.

Character of Service:

Single and three phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.
Three phase, 60 hertz, at primary distribution voltage.

Service at Primary Voltage:

If service is furnished at primary distribution voltage, a discount of 2% shall apply to the demand and energy charges. All wiring, pole lines, and other electrical equipment beyond the metering point will be considered the distribution system of the consumer and will be furnished and maintained by the consumer, provided, however, the service may be metered at secondary voltage and adjusted to primary metering by adding the estimated transformer losses to the metered kilowatt hours and kilowatt demand.

Determination of Demand:

The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the consumer during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor, as more particularly provided herein.

Power Factor Adjustment:

The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as possible. When the average power factor is less than 90% lagging, as determined under actual load conditions, the kilowatt measured demand for each month will be increased by the percentage points that the average power factor is less than 90% lagging.

Determination of Monthly Charges:

A monthly charge will be made and billed to the consumer based on the demand history of the account.
The demand history of the account is the highest demand indicated or recorded by a demand meter.
If the consumer does not have three (3) previous months of recorded use, which has been indicated or recorded by a demand meter, the initial and succeeding months shall be used by the Association to determine demand until three (3) months of use has been established.

In the event the demand history is within 250 kW or greater, the following shall apply:

  Monthly Basic Service Charge $ 30.00
  Demand charge $ 2.00 per kW
  Energy charge $ 0.09214 per kWh
  A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

The minimum monthly charge to the consumer under this rate shall be the higher of the following:

  1. $30.00; or

Upon request a time of use rate option will be considered upon completion of a feasibility analysis. All requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Large Commercial consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Any tax, franchise fee, or other similar charge, however denominated, will be recovered by a surcharge only upon those consumers receiving service within the boundaries of the district and/or municipality imposing such tax or fee.

Irrigation Service - Schedule I

 

Availability:
Available for service to irrigation pumps within the area serviced by the Association, subject to the Association’s established rules and regulations.

Applicability:
This rate shall apply to single or three phase service used solely for water well pumping specifically for agricultural or irrigation purposes.

Type of Service:

Three-phase or single-phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.

Monthly Charge:

Monthly Basic Service Charge: $2.01/kW-Demand/month (Apr-Nov)
Energy charge:  
  All kilowatt-hours used, per kWh $0.09064
A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

Determination of Demand:

The billing demand shall be the highest average during any 30 consecutive minute period of the month established by the consumer during the month for which the bill is rendered, as indicted or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for power factor as provided hereafter.

Minimum Annual Charge:

The minimum annual energy charge for each installation shall be the higher of:
(a) $20.10 per measured kW demand based on the previous 12 months; or
(b) $20.10 per connected kW as determined by VEA; or
(c) Not less than $240.00 per year.

The minimum energy charge shall be due and payable in 5 equal monthly installments for the first 5 months of the irrigation season, whether or not service is actually used.

Power Factor Adjustment:

The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as possible. When the average power factor is less than 90% lagging, as determined under actual load conditions, the kilowatt measured demand for each month will be increased by the percentage points that the average power factor is less than 90% lagging.

Irrigation Season:

The irrigation season starts on the meter reading date nearest to the first day of April each year and extends for a period of twelve months from that date.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the payment date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge equal to 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance wiil be assessed to the Irrigation Service consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Any tax, franchise fee, or other similar charge, however denominated, will be recovered by a surcharge only upon those consumers receiving service within the boundaries of the district and/or municipality imposing such tax or fee.

Outdoor Lighting Service - Schedule OL

 

Availability:

Available to all members for dusk to dawn outdoor lighting.

Rate per Light per Month:

Light mounted on existing pole and connected to existing secondary circuit:

Power Cost Adjustment:

A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

Conditions of Service:

  1. The Association shall furnish, install, operate and maintain the outdoor lighting equipment including the lamp, luminary, refractor, bracket attachment and control device on an existing pole of the Association which is electrically connected so that the power for operation of the light does not pass through the meter for the consumer’s other usage.
  2. The Association shall furnish and install a separate transformer or wooden pole, if required for the outdoor light, within 150 feet of existing secondary circuits for which the consumer shall pay the additional charges set forth in the rate schedule above.
  3. The Association shall maintain the lighting equipment, including lamp replacement, at no additional cost to the consumer within 72 hours after the consumer notifies the Association of the need for maintenance of the lighting equipment.
  4. The lighting equipment shall remain the property of the Association. The consumer shall protect the lighting equipment from deliberate damage and shall agree to pay for the cost of repairs from damage caused by negligence, vandalism or willful destruction.
  5. The consumer shall allow authorized representatives of the Association to enter upon the consumer’s premises and to trim trees and shrubs as necessary for maintenance of the lighting equipment and for removal of the lighting equipment upon termination of service under this schedule.
  6. The Association and the consumer shall execute an agreement for service under the Schedule for a period of not less than three (3) years.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the payment date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge equal to 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Outdoor Lighting consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Public Street Lighting Service - Schedule PSL

 

Availability:

Available for any city, town, unincorporated community, county or state governing body located within the Association's service area, subject to the rules and regulations of the Association.

Applicability:

This rate is applicable to electric service only to standard installations of luminaires for lighting of public streets, public alleys and public thoroughfares. Only High Pressure Sodium Luminaires will be utilized for service. All of the street lighting equipment will either be (1) owned, operated and maintained by the Association, or (2) owned by the consumer but approved, operated, and maintained by the Association.

Maintenance of Lighting Equipment:

The Association will maintain the lighting equiprnent, including lamp and ballast replacement, photocell control and circuit boards, the cost of which shall be included in the monthly rates listed below. Replacements for items to consumer-owned poles, globes, etc. shall be furnished by the consumer.

Character of Service:

Single phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.

Determination of Monthly Charges:

Monthly Charge (per fixture, Association owned):

  150 watt High Pressure Sodium 806 kWh annual use $22.46
  400 watt High Pressure Sodium 2037 kWh annual use $27.15

Annual Kilowatt-hour energy consumption based on 4,380 hours of operation.

Conditions of Service:

  1. The Association shall furnish, install, operate and maintain the street lighting equipment including the lamp, luminair, refractor, bracket attachment, control device, wood pole and conductor to a location within 150 feet of existing secondary circuits. Extensions beyond 150 feet will be in accordance with Association policies, including, without limination, Policy No. 17.

The consumer shall furnish and install the street lighting equipment including the lamp, luminair, refractor, bracket attachment, control device, decorative pole and conductor to a location within 150 feet of existing secondary circuits. Extensions beyond 150 feet will be in accordance with Association policies, including, without limitation, Policy No. 17.

  1. The consumer shall be responsible for providing any trench, excavation, conduit, backfill and paving as may be required for the provision of underground electric service to any street light location.
  2. The Association shall furnish and install a separate transformer or aluminum street light pole and base, if required, for the street light which shall require the consumer to pay the additional charges set forth in the rate schedule above.
  3. The Association shall maintain or repair the lighting equipment within 72 hours after the consumer notifies the Association of the need for maintenance of the lighting equipment.
  4. The Association and the consumer shall execute an agreement for service under the Schedule for a period of not less than five (5) years.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the payment date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge equal to 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1 .5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Public Street Lighting consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Temporary Power Outlet - Rate TPO

 

Availability:

Throughout the Association's service territory from existing Association service facilities, subject to the availability of Temporary Power Outlets in the Association’s inventory and when Association service lines are installed and energized.

Applicable:

This scedule applies to the rental of the Temporary Power Outlet and consumption of electric service. The rate is applicable to all electric service where consumption of energy is of a temporary basis for the construction of a residential home. The Temporary Power Outlet shall be owned and maintained by the Association.

Type of Service:

Capable of delivering electricity at alternating current, 60 cycles, single phase, 120/240 volts, 100 amp maximum.

Monthly Charge:

  Unit Rental $30.00
  Energy Charge $0.10731 per kwh
  A Power Cost Adjustment will be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

 

Minimum Monthly Charge:

The minimum monthly charge to the consumer under this rate shall be $30.00.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Temporary Power Outlet consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.

Residential Service - Schedule A

 

Availability:

Available to residential members of the Association located within the area served by the Association.

Applicability:

Available to single-family Residential consumers with either of the following:

  1. Any single meter service to a single private home, apartment, or other living quarters;
  2. Any private garage adjacent to or connected with a single-family residence which is used exclusively by the resident;
  3. Rural inhabitants composed of a single farm or ranch with private home, barn, or other outbuildings located on a single parcel of land.

Type of Service:

Single-phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.

Monthly Charge:

  Basic Service Charge $15.00
  Energy Charge  
  All kilowatt-hours used, per kwh $0.10989
  A Power Cost Adjustment may be included in accordance with Schedule PCA.

 

Minimum Charges:

The minimum monthly charge under the above rate shall be $20.00 Payment of the minimum charge shall entitle the member in all cases to the use of the number of kilowatt-hours corresponding to that portion of the minimum charge in excess of $15.00 in accordance with the foregoing rate.

Terms of Payment:

All charges are due and payable on or before the payment date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Residential consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.
