General Service - Schedule LC - Greater than 250 kW
Availability:
Available for commercial members using either single phase or three phase service who are located
within the area served by the Association, subject to the rules and regulations of the Association.
Applicability:
Applicable to service where measured demand is equal to or greater than 250 kW for a minimum of
3 months out of a rolling 12 month period.
Character of Service:
Single and three phase, 60 hertz, at available secondary voltages.
Three phase, 60 hertz, at primary distribution voltage.
Service at Primary Voltage:
If service is furnished at primary distribution voltage, a discount of 2% shall apply to the demand
and energy charges. All wiring, pole lines, and other electrical equipment beyond the metering point
will be considered the distribution system of the consumer and will be furnished and maintained by the consumer, provided, however, the service may be metered at secondary voltage and adjusted to
primary metering by adding the estimated transformer losses to the metered kilowatt hours and
kilowatt demand.
Determination of Demand:
The billing demand shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the consumer during the
month for which the bill is rendered, as indicated or recorded by a demand meter and adjusted for
power factor, as more particularly provided herein.
Power Factor Adjustment:
The consumer agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as possible. When the average power
factor is less than 90% lagging, as determined under actual load conditions, the kilowatt measured
demand for each month will be increased by the percentage points that the average power factor is
less than 90% lagging.
Determination of Monthly Charges:
A monthly charge will be made and billed to the consumer based on the demand history of the
account.
The demand history of the account is the highest demand indicated or recorded by a demand meter.
If the consumer does not have three (3) previous months of recorded use, which has been indicated
or recorded by a demand meter, the initial and succeeding months shall be used by the Association to
determine demand until three (3) months of use has been established.
In the event the demand history is within 250 kW or greater, the following shall apply:
| |
Monthly Basic Service Charge |
$ 30.00 |
| |
Demand charge |
$ 2.00 per kW |
| |
Energy charge |
$ 0.09214 per kWh |
| |
A Power Cost Adjustment will be included
in accordance with Schedule PCA. |
Minimum Monthly Charge:
The minimum monthly charge to the consumer under this rate shall be the higher of the following:
1. $30.00; or
2. A charge of $.75 per kVA of transformer capacity; or
3. The minimum monthly charge as specified in the contract for service, if applicable.
Temporary Service:
Temporary service to consumers at locations such as construction
sites, fairs or carnivals shall be supplied in accordance with
the rate schedule, except that the consumer shall pay in addition
thereto the total cost of connecting and disconnecting service,
less the aggregate value of materials returned to stock. A deposit may
be required for the total amount of the estimated bill for
services, including but not limited to the costs of connection
and disconnection.
Time of Use Rate Option:
Upon request a time of use rate option will be considered upon completion of a feasibility analysis.
All requests will be considered on a case by case basis.
Terms of Payment:
All charges are due and payable on or before the date stated on the bill. If not paid on or before this date, a late charge of 2.5% of the initial unpaid balance and 1.5% per month thereafter on remaining unpaid balance will be assessed to the Large Commercial consumer. Service will be discontinued after due notice pursuant to Association policy.
Taxes, Fees, Etc.
