Tampering w/ Association Equipment
All meters owned and installed by the Association shall be sealed
with locking rings and lead meter seals. Meter seals shall not be
broken without first obtaining permission from the Association to
do so.
- Tampering with Equipment - When the Association has reasonable
evidence that a consumer is obtaining all or part of his electricity
by any method that interferes with the proper metering of service
to his equipment, a bill will be estimated and presented to him
for the unmetered service resulting from such interference.
- Damage to Equipment - When the Association has reasonable
evidence that the service equipment or metering has been tampered
with, a bill will be estimated and presented to him for the cost
of inspection and minor repairs resulting from such damage.
- Reconnection of Service - When the Association has reasonable
evidence that tampering has occurred, the consumer’s electric
service will be disconnected and only reconnected upon the following
conditions:
- Consumer must pay all damages to equipment due to interference
with the meter prior to service reconnection.
- Consumer must pay for reconnection of service in accordance
with the provisions of Rule 11 prior to service reconnection.
- Consumer must agree to comply with reasonable requirements
to protect the Association against future losses.
- Consumer must pay the estimated bill for the unmetered
service which he has used.
