Kevin McMahan

I have a lifetime of technical knowledge and experience. I worked in steel and coke-producing plants, a food processing plant, an automobile parts stamping plant, and a large water utility company. I completed 2 apprenticeships. I have an associate degree and hold four additional technical certificates. I hold a Nevada Electrical Qualifications Card as a Journeyman Electrician. I also hold two state water operator certificates.

I hold a Water Distribution III and a Water Treatment II certificate. I am also a private pilot with a multi-engine rating. I have always loved science and technology. The knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years have made me an excellent troubleshooter and problem solver. I have also been interested in the environment and alternate energy sources. I was the first to own and operate an Electric Vehicle in Sandy Valley.

I have owned a Nissan Leaf since December of 2011. This shows my commitment to the environment. I also understand the importance of keeping energy costs affordable for all of us in a changing world. I see this as an exciting opportunity. I believe that my technical skills, knowledge, experience, and desire to make the best decisions for our members qualify me for this job.
